Bonjour, je m'appelle Cyrille Anizan et je me rejouis de vous acceuillir bientôt dans mon restaurant La Rôtisserie.

On 20 February 2017, the Storchen Zurich will be revealing its new look after a six-week renovation. The first-floor Restaurant La Rôtissierie, with arguably Zurich's most beautiful terrace, will also be reopening its doors after a stylish makeover – and with a wonderful new Chef de Cuisine from Bordeaux! The French foodie not only conjures up exquisite gourmet treats, he also brings a smile to our guests' faces.

Cyrille's passion for cooking started at an early age, when he used to sneak into his grandma's kitchen to taste her delicious creations (jam, chocolate, sauces – all homemade, of course). He is a true Frenchman who claims that his ideal dinner party would feature Jacques Chirac, the 'common gourmet', and Pierre Gagnaire, his role model and, for Cyrille, the best French chef around. Also among the illustrious guests would be Didier Cuche, who Cyrille admires for his sang-froid and still rates as the best skier the world has ever seen.

After three years as sous-chef, Cyrille has now taken charge of the new Restaurant La Rôtisserie and its already well-oiled team. He is ready and raring to go for this new challenge, and his energy is infectious.

The Storchen's culinary flagship has been a favourite haunt of local and international guests for many years (the restaurant also functions as the guild room for the boatman's guild), so the old Storchen classics must, of course, feature on the new menu too. But Cyrille also plans to surprise Storchen guests with his exciting new 'Anizan creations' made from the finest seasonal produce. Shortly after the reopening, our charming Chef de Cuisine could also be putting his passion for cooking to the test as a finalist in the Golden Chef championship. He was working on various pièces de résistance, which he presented to the jury at the final in Bern on 6 March 2017.

With a talented kitchen and service team behind him, Cyrille's undeniable passion for cooking and his effusive French charm are sure to inspire our Storchen guests. We can't wait for the opening of the new Restaurant La Rôtisserie, spearheaded by our Chef de Cuisine Cyrille Anizan!
